The project

- The primary school was scheduled to open by February 2001.

Before the school is operational, Ezra will be registered as an International Charity in Uganda.

When the first four classrooms are completed, the school will be inspected by the Education Department for the purpose of registering the King's Primary School in Uganda.

Agriculture

The 14 acres of land that have been given to Ezra also gives scop for training in modern farming methods and increase crop yields. This is to improve the quality of life and make the villagers more self sufficient. Ezra has been promised more land for further development.

Water

A local river supplies water throughout the year, which can be utilized for crop and vegetable irrigation. Expertize and materials are needed to make use of this rare natural resource, to improve the villagers standard of living.

Sponsorship

Ezra's aim for the opening of the school is that all the children in the first four classes will be sponsored. Today Ezra has 30 children sponsored. We need sponsorship for the remaining 90. Click here to link to Child Sponsorship Scheme.

How can I help

The school will be built by Soren Pedersen, a Danish builder, who has totally devoted his life to helping the people of Eastern Africa. He uses a steel frame for support of the roof tiles and brick walls.
